Nightlife
The first thing to be clear about is that Lake Como is not Ibiza, and its kind of clubbing nightlife is difficult to find at Lake Como. In its absence this section covers a range of after dark locations including a lido that turns into a disco at night, a number of pubs and a casino located beside Lake Lugano.
Lido di Lenno in Lenno
A daytime Lido becomes a sophisticated night spot after dark
Bar Vechia Torre in Griante
Snack bar and a pub with classroom decor and two table football games
The Euro Pub in Griante
Unusual decor, live music, pay TV and ‘any kind of party you want’
Pub Crazy James and Blue Dog Pub in Domaso
Places for kids to meet up after a hard day windsurfing
Moulin Rouge nightclub in Colico
Casinos
The closest casino to Lake Como is in a location called Campione d’Italia, a separate piece of Italy that exists as a tax haven by the side of Lake Lugano, entirely surrounded by Swiss territory. Conditions there apparently favoured the establishment of the large, smart, multi storey Casino di Campio, with facilities for roulette, chemin de fer, blackjack and poker as well as restaurants, meeting rooms and a hotel.
